Father's Day Part 2
This morning before church, the kids and I made a French toast breakfast for Daddy. His favorite present was the shirt we had made with a picture of the kids on it:)

It was the girls' turn to make a nice meal for the guys! Although the guys' meal for Mother's Day was awesome and it was impressive that they alone pulled it off...Our meal wins because Gerda made the most amazing filet mignon ever! Our sides were delicious too...baked potato bar (Stacey), corn pudding (me), salad and yummy yummy shrimp (Aimee), and super delicious banana splits for dessert (Amanda).

The kids had a blast playing in the backyard with three plastic pools...one at the base of the swingset slide. The highlight for the kids was when Grampy, out of nowhere, decided to get the hose and blast everyone in sight...even poor Amanda who was holding her camera! He had no mercy...anyone was game...even little Lilly and Jacob (age 1)! Oh and let's not forget poor Austin who sacrificed himself for his dad! Mike was using him as a shield. Finally, my brave Abbie decided to retaliate with a few attempts to get Grampy with a cup of water...she didn't stand a chance!

Below:
Happy Father's Day to My Dad!
My first valentine...My first hero
Thank you for your excellent example of being a husband, father, and friend. Thank you for loving Mom so much. Thank you for raising me in a family that loved me so much and in a church family that loved me so much.
Thank you for caring about who my friends were and for caring about my friends. Thank you for not allowing me to ride in anyone's car you didn't know. Thank you for giving me a curfew and letting me extend it a little if the movie wasn't over. Thank you for staying up until I got home every single time. (My dad never ever went to bed unless I was home...EVER!)
Thank you for not getting mad when I got my first speeding ticket.
Thank you for taking us to Hawaii every summer!
Thank you for creating a home where others felt welcome and safe. Thank you for your example of helping others and giving of yourself to others.
Thank you for buying me a car (used:)) for my 16th birthday. Thank you for selling it to Aaron a few years later.
Thank you for letting me go away to college. Thank you for visiting me so much.
Thank you for writing me SO MANY letters while I was away and for putting $2.00 for ice cream in each letter.
Thank you for loving Aaron as your own son and for always supporting him.
Thank you for adoring my children. They think the world of you.
Thank you for always trusting me and forgiving me and loving me unconditionally.
Thank you for always telling me that I was pretty and for telling me you loved me.
I married someone with so many of your wonderful traits...Thank you for setting the standard so high. That may be your most precious gift to me...

Another tear jerker, Jenni! Great job!
Oh my gosh Jenny, tears! That was so special. I pray that one day our girls will feel the same way about Bryant. That is so special. There is nothing like a good man and a good Father. It just makes life that much better!
